Two Months Old!

I can't believe how time has flown by with baby Everett!

Last week we had his baptism at Vista United Methodist Church, by Pastor George Hooper.  In attendance were Gioi, Maggie and Kai... Aunt Tawni and Uncle Dave... Aunt Noelle... Uncle Tory and Cousin Katrina.... Grammy (Phoebe) and Grandpa (Edd).... and Grandma (Jackie) and Papa (Robert)  We were so excited to have such a great turnout!

Ever is smiling and laughing now, he is now 100% formula fed, since 5 weeks of age.  He had his first vaccinations at the Pediatrician (Dr. Lee) and handled it like a champ.  The next day he had a low fever and some soreness in his thighs, but had some baby tylenol and 2 long baths.

Ever loves taking a bath!  He kicks and splashes his hands and smiles and coo's!  He has had the opportunity to stay a couple nights at the Seapoint Resort, where he went in the swimming pool and Jacuzzi, which was actually his second time in a pool because he went in Grandma (Jackie)'s pool the week before that, at only 1 month old!  We also just got back from a short stay at the Palisades Resort, where his Godfather (Justin) and family are staying and he got to meet him for the first time, and take another Jacuzzi dip!  He also has been to Buccaneer beach once, but not in the water there.

If you are measuring by weeks, I think Everett is actually 11 weeks, but I think I have moved on to measuring by months already.  He loves his bouncy chair and always falls asleep in the car!  As far as health concerns, other than the fever after his shots, he has only had one diaper rash at about 3 weeks of age, lasting about a week and cleared up well with tons of Butt Paste and daily baths.

Those first outfits I had to put away because he grew out of them tugged at my heartstrings a little.  My little baby is already getting so big!  At the Pediatrician on June 22, he measured in the 70th percentile for weight 13lb 3oz, the 75th percentile for length 23 3/4 inches and the 20th percentile for head circumference 15 1/4 inches.

Everett seems to absolutely love his big brother, and the feeling is mutual.  Kai got the first smile from him, first (on purpose) kiss, and whenever he is around or talking Ever loves to look at him.  Ever seems to have worked out a schedule for himself, we have not been adhering to one purposefully at all, but at about 7 or 8pm, Everett is just DONE.  He will konk out no matter what's going on and be difficult to rouse.  He wakes every 2-3 hours hungry still, but doesn't really wake all the way and goes back to sleep pretty easily a few times until about 5 or 6 am when he's pretty awake and ready to play.  We have tried out a few different ways to balance the kids sleeping and the adults sleeping so everyone is getting enough and our current setup is that we all go to bed together at 8 or 9pm and the first time Ever wakes, Daddy takes him out and tends to his needs, then goes back to sleep with him in Kai's room while Mommy and Kai sleep on in the Master bedroom.  Then when Daddy needs to get ready for work in the morning, Mommy wakes and takes him  for the day.

Anyway, a lot to say but I haven't been checking in as much as I had planned to on this blog so there was a lot to catch up!
